About This Training Course

Get the HR fundamentals in AHRI’s practical industryaccredited education program. This program provides introductory people management skills and HR concepts to participants wanting to pursue a career in HR or for those already practising but wanting to expand their generalist knowledge. We recommend this unit to line managers wanting to improve their people management skills and knowledge of legislation.

Workshops are conducted one day a fortnight over a twelve week period and run in most capital cities across Australia.

Topic 2 – Managing the employment cycle
Topic 3 – Building and developing talent
Topic 4 – Performance management
Topic 5 - Occupational health and safety
Topic 6 - Measuring HR effectiveness

Training Course Outcomes

After completing the Foundations of Human Resources program, students can follow the AHRI education pathway to the Professional Diploma of Human Resources. As an AHRI accredited program, the Foundations of Human Resources will contribute to an application for the Professional Diploma of Human Resources.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for enrolment into the Foundations of Human Resources education program.

Other Information

Assessment is made up of a series of six workplace application assignments, one for each topic. Wherever possible, the assessments allow participants to utilise current workplace experience. Participants will submit assessments progressively throughout the training period. There is no formal examinations.
