About This Training Course

Subjects Covered

By the end of the Electrical Testing and Tagging Training Course, the student will be able to demonstrate:
Knowledge to:
• Implement Occupational Health and Safety workplace procedures and practices including the use of risk control measures as specified in the performance criteria and range statement
• Apply sustainable energy principles and practices
• Ability to conduct in-service safety testing of electrical cord assemblies and cord connected equipment including:
• Preparing the portable apparatus tester
• Connecting cords and apparatus to the testing apparatus
• Using test results to establish the safety status
• Identifying safe and unsafe cords and apparatus
• Applying appropriate tagging
• Documenting testing activities
• Dealing with unplanned events by drawing on essential knowledge and skills to provide appropriate solutions incorporated in a holistic assessment with the above listed items
