Our Responsible Service of Alcohol - Online Course covers the legalities and responsibilities of serving alcohol in various licensed premises. RSA training is compulsory for all new licensees, nominees and retail liquor staff responsible for the promotion, sale or service of alcohol on licensed premises. This RSA Course is highly recommended for all liquor service staff required to hold an RSA Certificate & participants looking to get into the Hospitality Industry.
This is an accredited RSA Training course, the unit is also included in the Certificate III in Hospitality (Operations). Please read the "Other Information" section below for further details. This training course is suitable for flight attendents, crowd controllers, bar attendants, and a range of other hospitality employees.

On completion of the Online Responsible Service of Alcohol training course, you will be issued an accredited RSA Certificate. With this RSA certificate you would be able to apply for positions in licensed bars, hotels, pubs and clubs, retail liquor outlets, and licensed function and event centres.

The Nationally Accredited RSA certificate is suitable for staff working in the hospitality industry except for:
‘Anyone applying for a liquor license’, Anyone working in packaged liquor’ (bottle shop) and anyone working in a venue where it’s a condition of the licensee’s liquor license that all staff must complete a RSA course approved by the Director of Liquor Licensing. These are normally venues that are open after 1AM and have amplified music.

Training in Responsible Service of Alcohol has become mandatory from 1 January 2009 for staff working in all licensed premises.
Staff members employed prior to 1 January will have until 30 June 2010 to complete required training.
All staff employed at January 1 2009 will be required to complete the required training within 18 months.
Any untrained staff member who leaves and is employed at another licensed premises must complete training within 30 days of commencement.
