Training Course Outcomes

On completion of the Responsible Service of Alcohol Training Course (RSA) - Online you will be issued an accredited RSA Certificate. With this certificate you would be able to apply for positions in licensed bars, hotels, pubs and clubs, retail liquor outlets, and licensed function and event centres.

Victoria

The online Nationally Accredited RSA course is NOT accepted in Victoria

Changes have been made to RSA training requirements to provide a more consistent approach and
to make RSA training compulsory for more employees. Under the new amendments, compulsory RSA training will be extended to include licensees and serving staff operating under a general, on-premises or late night licence.

Those holding a packaged liquor licence or working in a business holding such a licence are already required to undergo RSA training. Existing licensees and serving staff operating under a general, on-premises or late night licence will have 12 months from 1 January 2011 to complete an RSA course approved by the Director of Liquor Licensing (the Director). Approved courses provide a certificate with the signature of the Director.

Licensees and staff will be required to complete the online RSA refresher course every three years. This is a free course offered on the alcohol website. Licensees subject to the RSA training requirement will need to maintain an up-to-date RSA training register.

Nationally Accredited certificate is NOT accepted in the ACT

New South Wales (NSW)
NSW Office of Liquor Gaming and Racing
Nationally Accredited certificate is NOT accepted in New South Wales.
A Liquor Administration Board (LAB) certificate is the only certificate accepted in NSW. QHI is approved to deliver the NSW RSA course online

Northern Territory (NT)
NT Department of Justice
Nationally Accredited certificate is accepted in the Northern Territory
