About This Training Course

This nationally accredited one day confined space training course is aimed at ensuring the health and safety of personnel who have to undertake work activities within a confined space as defined by AS/NZS 2865:2009.
The course provides personnel with information on their responsibilities with regard to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Mine Safety and Inspection Act, duty of care. It provides a guide to planning and managing confined space entries for employees and contractors by utilising the risk assessment process to identify hazards and applying the appropriate controls using the Hierarchy of Control. It informs persons of the requirements in rescue, training, isolation, ventilation, atmospheric testing, standby duties and entry permits to the confined space.

This course comprises an equal theory-practical component ensuring all attendees actively participate in confined space entries.

Prerequisites

Trainees must be fit for general duties
Clothing: Wear normal work clothing and closed footwear suitable for climbing.
Please bring own gloves and hard hat.
Please remove all jewellery prior to course.
